Former team-mates, club officials and supporters packed into Burnley Crematorium to pay their respects to the scorer of the goal that kept the Clarets in the Football League back in 1987.

The popular character's funeral cortege passed his beloved Turf Moor where several hundred fans and staff stood in respectful silence.

Ian, who was described as 'an amazing dad" by his family earned his place in Clarets folklore by scoring what proved to be the winning goal against Orient that preserved Burnley's Football League status.
