Loved ones and friends packed the church on Tuesday for the funeral service of Daniel Robinson.

Fourteen-year-old Daniel, who had been a “happy, healthy child”, died at the Royal Blackburn Hospital on Wednesday, May 25th – two days after collapsing in Wellgate, Clitheroe, from stomach pains while on his way to see his GP.

Daniel, who was a pupil at Bowland High School and lived with his mother, Joanne Johnson, step-dad Mark and 12-year-old sister, Natalie, in Clitheroe, and was a popular boy.

This was evident as hundreds of family and friends, including Daniel’s school friends, attended the service to pay their last respects.

A trailer pulled by a John Deere tractor transported Daniel’s coffin via West Bradford and Waddington to the church, reflecting his long-held passion for farming.

In addition, poignant tributes in the form of cards and floral wreaths in the shape of tractors were also left at the church.
