Herman’s Hermits to play at Sabden Live

The two-day music festival, in its fifth year and will again be raising funds for the North West Air Ambulance, will take place next weekend, Spring Bank Holiday, on Saturday and Sunday, May 24th and 25th.

A stellar line-up across both days, no genre is left uncovered at the event, sponsored by Lanway for the first time.

Saturday’s bill features The Lebrels, The Charly Syndrome, Sabden’s very own The Kicks, The Boutiques, Herman’s Hermits, Noasis and O.D. Saxon.

Herman’s Hermits are on their 50th anniversary tour and feature original member Barry Whitwam, along with Sabden’s own Kevan Lingard on keyboard/vocals.

The Gallagher brothers currently show no sign of re-uniting so Noasis is definitely the next best thing. The tribute band have a huge fan base and recently played Wembley Stadium in front of 80,000 people.

O.D. Saxon features the two original Saxon members, Graham Oliver and Steve Dawson. The film “Spinal Tap” was based on the antics of these two lads while touring America so that gives you a taste of what to expect when they headline the first day.

Sunday’s line-up includes Roller, Live Again, Slack Alice, Rawkuss, The Swing Commanders, Creedence Clearwater Revived featuring legendary guitarist Jerry Donahue and Eddie and The Hotrods.

There will be licensed bars, food and refreshments on-site plus rides, bouncy castles, face painting and more. A weekender ticket costs £20 for adults; children £5. Day tickets are £12.50; children £5. Children under 11 go free.
