She has been treating patients at the Rakehead Rehabilitation Unit for the last six years after starting her OT career as a technical instructor at Pendle Community Hospital in 2009.

“Getting my degree means the world to me ” she said. “It means I can progress in a profession I am really passionate about.”

Janette juggled the demands of a busy job, home life and study from 2011.

She thanked her family, her colleagues and her manager Amanda Kershaw for their encouragement, saying she felt that her studies have direct benefits for patients. “The more I researched and worked, the more confident I became in my skills,” she said.
