Great North Run team raise £11,000 for Pendleside Hospice

The Pendleside Hospice team of runners who participated in this year’s Great North Run collectedly raised an amazing £11,206 for the hospice through sponsorship.

Sammi Bracewell, fund-raiser for the hospice, said: “A huge well done and thank you to everybody who ran for the hospice and raised such a wonderful amount.

“It is an amazing achievement and we are extremely grateful for the fantastic support shown.

“The money raised will make a huge difference, helping the hospice to continue providing care to local people diagnosed with cancer and other life limiting illnesses”.

The hospice had its biggest team of runners this year with and hopes to continue its success in the Great North Run in 2015.
