First victory for Pendle Young Farmers

And the local club fought off the competition to win the overall rally for the first time in its history!

The club competed against members from Slaidburn, Bolton-by-Bowland, Clitheroe, Chipping and Salmesbury YFCs with hundreds of members from across the area.

Club chairman Alexandra Nutter said: “I am so immensely proud of Pendle YFC winning the overall club trophy.

“We have lots of extremely talented members who gave it their all and it paid off.

“I knew they could do it! Now we just need to put 110% effort into the county rally and go on to win there.”

Competitions on the day included stock judging, cooking, crafts and obstacle courses.

l The club had further success when they won the Lancashire county rally at the weekend. Members will now compete at the Northern region rally at Thirsk in June.
