Firefighters spend over two hours battling loft blaze at Pendle house

A fire broke out in the loft space of a house in Nelson last night.

Two crews from Nelson raced to Every Street just before 6pm where they discovered smoke pouring from the roof of the property.

Four firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used two hose reels to put the fire out. Crews were at the scene for around two and a half hours.
