Firefighters deal with two caravan blazes in Burnley in same night

Firefighters were called out to deal with two separate caravan fires in Burnley last night.

The first call came at 10-30pm when two crews answered reports of a blaze in Woodplumpton Road. On arrival they found a static caravan on fire and they extinguished the flames using two hosereels.

Also in use was some lighting equipment, a ceiling hook and thermal imaging camera. Firefighters were at the scene for around an hour.

Just over an hour later, at 11.45pm, two crews were called to Wren Street to the second caravan blaze.

Crews, who were at the scene for around 40 miniutes, extinguished the fire using two hose reels, one thermal imaging camera and a ventilation unit.
