Firebugs strike in late night blaze

Fire chiefs believe a blaze at an outbuilding in the early hours of the morning was started deliberately.

The blaze was reported in the building to the rear of the terraced house in Westmorland Street at around 3am on Tuesday.

Firefighters used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel to extinguish the fire.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is now being investigated.
