A person had to be rescued this afternoon after becoming stuck on a riverbank in Pendle.

Two fire engines from Nelson and Burnley were called to Victoria Park in Carr Road, Nelson, where a person had found themselves trapped on a banking.
Firefighters used a triple extension ladder to rescue the individual.
