Heavy rain warning for Lancashire and North West
Heavy rain could lead to localised flooding in Lancashire and the North West, the Met Office warned today
Forecasters said that as today's showers ease in the evening it will be briefly dry before bands of heavy rain move in overnight tonight (Saturday).
Rain will tend to be persistent with some heavy bursts, especially after midnight.
The Met Office said heavy showers and rain may lead to flooding in a few places.
Bus and train services could be affected, with longer journey times possible .
Spray and flooding on roads was likely and flooding of homes and businesses was possible
Tomorrow (Sunday) is set to be "a wet, grey day with a moderate breeze and feeling noticeably cooler than the end of last week.
"Heavy rain at times, especially in the afternoon."
