Police appeal after elderly man in injured due to traffic collision in Barnoldswick

Police are appealing for witnesses and footage after an elderly pedestrian was injured in a collision in Barnoldswick.

Officers were called out at 8-45am yesterday (Thursday, November 28th) to Kelbrook Road in the town to a report of a road traffic collision.

On arrival, they found that a Hyundai i30 had been in collision with a pedestrian – a man in his 90s – in the carriageway.

A police spokesman confirmed that the man had suffered facial injuries and was taken to hospital. Thankfully, his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

The road was closed for a time while collision investigation work was carried out, but has since reopened.

The police have since released an appeal.
