Police warning after 'suspicious' Ford Transit van linked to rural quadbike thefts

Police are urging farmers and people living in rural communities in the Ribble Valley to be on their guard after a number of quadbike thefts.

In a Facebook appeal, a spokesman for Ribble Valley Police said a Ford Transit van had been spotted around West Bradford entering a number of farms acting suspicious.

The appeal stated: "We have recently had a number of quad thefts reported in local villages within the Ribble Valley. A ford transit has been seen around the West Bradford area over the last few days entering a number of farms acting suspicious. Please can we ask you to remain vigilant and ensure that your property and keys are secure as possible. If you see any suspicious activity please contact us on 999 if an emergency, 101 if non-emergency or alternatively visit Lancashire Constabulary website and report online."
