Police have pledged to continue to target criminals after taking over £300,000 worth of drugs off the streets of Burnley in just one week.

In their latest success officers from the Burnley Taskforce and South NPT arrested a 30 year old male after a large quantity of drugs were discovered at an address in the Coal Clough Lane area.

The man is currently in police custody and will be dealt with in due course.

A spokesman for Burnley Police said: "Our officers will continue to target people involved in the supply of drugs to keep our community safe."
