Due to the current coronavirus lockdown, gatherings are banned. The address had been reported to police earlier in the month by fed-up local residents for having constant house parties on a weekend.

PCSO Sam Baysal, of Burnley and Padiham Police, revealed the house was being advertised as a hotel.

He expalined: "On Friday evening officers from the Neighbourhood Team disrupted a house party in progress at an address on Whalley Street. The address had been reported to us earlier in the month via fed up local residents and Lancashire Talking for having constant house parties on a weekend. It transpires that this property was being advertised as a hotel. The landlord has been spoken to with the council also being informed.

He added: "Disruption like this will not be tolerated. Not only does it cause a huge amount of stress and anti-social behaviour for local residents, but it is also breaking current national Covid restrictions. We will continue to target anti-social behaviour and target the offenders. We can only do this with your help. Please feel free to contact me to discuss any issues."
