Sgt Kev Day said: “I visited the vehicle owners this morning and enjoyed a cup of coffee and a chat.

“We discussed how they might improve security on the premises and they are going to consider some options.

”Rural crime occurs at all times of the day and night and when we look at the crime maps there is often no discernable pattern that we can use to concentrate our efforts.

“This is why we really push crime prevention and security advice particularly in these areas. Theives can be extremely tenacious when targetting quads, Land Rovers, etc and it is in your best interests to keep these locked, out of site and as secure as they can be.”
