Police investigation launched after cargo of nitrous oxide canisters discovered in Ribble Valley
and live on Freeview channel 276
Officers responded after receiving a report of a vehicle seen unloading items and then leaving the area.
After a quick area search they found a large box and rucksack containing a large amount of nitrous oxide canisters.

Hide AdNitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas, is classed as a psychoactive substance and, if inhaled directly from the canister, can cause the throat muscles to spasm and if not treated quickly can cause unconsciousness or death.
The Psychoactive Substance Act 2016 has made it illegal for anyone to sell nitrous oxide for human consumption.
