Police caught Burnley drink-driver three times the limit

A drink-driver three times the limit has been sent on an alcohol treatment programme.

Anthony Hart (55) was caught in Rosegrove Lane, Burnley, on January 18th.

He blew 105 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath at the police station. The legal limit is 35, the towns magistrates were told.

Hart, of Lowerhouse Lane, Burnley, admitted driving with excess alcohol. He was given a 12-month community order, with a nine-month alcohol treatment programme and a 10-day rehabilitation activity requirement.

The defendant was fined £100, with a £90 victim surcharge and £85 costs and was banned for 45 months.
