Man arrested on suspicion of intent to supply drugs in Padiham

A man has been arrested in Padiham on suspicion of selling Class A drugs.

The man was arrested in the Stockbridge Road area last night.

Early indications suggest the value of the drugs to be in the region of £2,000.

The arrest came as part of a series of patrols in the town which also saw a man arrested in Padiham Road after being more than double the drink-drive limit.

In other incidents, a lock knife was seized by officers, a vehicle was found to have no insurance and the driver no licence, and cannabis was taken from two youths.
