Burnley Police seize vehicle belonging to uninsured driver

Police have seized the vehicle and are waiting for the driver to come forward

"Insure it to drive it" - That's the message from police after an uninsured driver of a black Honda made off.

Officers from Burnley North Neighbourhood Policing Team had been on patrol yesterday evening (Thursday) when they came across the vehicle.

The driver avoided the officers, however, the car was quickly located and seized afterwards, with police now aiming to locate the driver.

PC Dave Cottom, of Burnley and Padiham Police, said: "Whilst Burnley North NPT Officers were out and about this evening, the driver of this Black Honda thought he could drive around whilst uninsured and make off from Police, he was wrong! Vehicle located and seized. If the driver would like to claim his car back, please make contact with us, as we'd like to have a chat."
