Burnley men remanded over attempted murder shooting charge

Two Burnley men charged with attempted murder following a shooting in Brierfield have been remanded in custody.

Neil Barnett (34) and Lee Barnett (37) both of Kinross Street, Burnley, appeared before Blackburn Magistrates' Court today charged with attempted murder and saw their cases sent to the crown court.

Neil Barnett must appear at Burnley Crown Court on April 15th and Lee Barnett must appear at the same court on April 12th.

A woman (32) from Nelson arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder and assisting an offender has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

An 18-year-old man suffered facial injuries as a result of the incident.
