Armed police stop drug-peddling van

Two men and a teenager who have been charged with intent to supply Class A drugs after armed police stopped their van in Burnley have appeared in court today.

Around 11.10am on Monday, March 6th, police stopped a white van on Moorland Road in south Burnley and detained three men, all from the Greater Manchester area, at the scene.

Aaron MacFadden, 24, of Chatham Street, Leigh, was charged with three offences of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance. Michael Siddeley, 23, of Brindlehurst Drive, Manchester, was charged with three offences of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and possession of a Class B drug. A 17-year-old boy from Wigan was charged with three offences of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs, one offence of possessing a Class A drug and possessing a bladed article. All have been remanded to appear at Burnley Magistrates' Court today, while anyone with information is asked to call police on 101.
