The blessing of the crib ceremony takes place at 6-25pm and the crowds will be officially welcomed to the event by the Mayor of Padiham Coun. James Kirk at 6-30pm.

Then the countdown begins to the big switch on by the Mayor and spectacular firework display.

In keeping with tradition Father Christmas will be arriving on his sleigh and opening his grotto inside the town hall at 7-15pm so that all the children can drop off their wish lists.
