Later this year they will be holding a Masquerade 1,000 Concert and hoping to raise a further £1,000 for the hospice by combining several popular musicals and famous songs with other choirs.

John said: “Come Sing With Us did a great job singing in Tesco. They were so good we were asked by M&S to go there the following week.

“We always welcome new members, so anybody who loves to sing please come along and join in. There is no need to read music or audition.

“Our music ranges from musical theatre to popular classics.

The choir has around 30 members who meet Tuesdays at the Vincent Farrell Centre in Temple Street, Burnley, from 7-30pm.
