Christopher Payne (28) had 9.85 grams of cocaine in his possession at Burnley, October 11th last year.

The town’s magistrates were told Payne owned up to the offence on a limited basis. Payne, of Dean Street, Padiham, admitted possessing cocaine with intent to supply and possessing cannabis on the same date.

Prosecutor Mr Eddie Harrison told the hearing: “The Crown do not accept any limited basis but even on the defence version it is not suitable to be heard here.”

Payne will face sentence and possibly a trial over the facts at Burnley Crown Court and was bailed until May 23rd for a hearing there.
