Mrs Clark’s current colleagues from school took her on a celebratory meal to the Fence Gate Inn at which she was presented with gifts, a personalised poem and a memory box created by all of her colleagues.

In recognition of such fabulous service the school held an afternoon tea party. Mrs Clark was asked to draw up a list of those which she wanted to attend including ex-colleagues whom she had kept in touch with or was grateful of their support, close family and friends. All of these people were then sent invitations.

Her current Year Five class and members of staff secretly created menus, made bunting, place cards, invites and prepared a lovely afternoon tea at which the school choir performed. The children also presented her with a silver pendant and flowers.

Finally, on her last day she was thanked by current head teacher Mrs Allan and all the children and staff for all her hard work and support during the final assembly of the year.
