Clarets to be presented with trophy on Monday

This will take place at around 6.45pm on the Town Hall steps after victory over Charlton Athletic secured the title.
The trophy was originally awarded to the First Division winners and returns to Burnley for the first time since 1960.

It was designed and made for the 1890/91 season by the craftsmen at family-owned Vaughton’s in Birmingham, who still make The Football League's medals to this day, with Everton being the first club to receive it. Preston North End had won the first two Football League titles but had not received a trophy.
The engraving on the front of the famous trophy details the 12 founder member clubs on The Football League committee.
On the reverse side is a depiction of a football match. Notably the scene does not feature a goal net as they were not introduced until 1891 after Liverpool engineer John Alexander Brodie designed 'a huge pocket' for the goal.
