Christmas boost for unsung hero carers

Within minutes the treats were on their way to local residents who provide unpaid, often intensive, support for a friend or family member.

The Hotel Chocolat treats were donated to Carers Link by Simon Jersey, a company from Altham which supplies uniforms and work-wear to businesses.

Liz Murphy, of Simon Jersey, said: “We’re giving away the chocolates with all of our orders this December.

“As well as treating our customers we wanted to treat those working hard in the local community.

“Carers Link Lancashire is a fantastic organisation that helps support the many people in our area who look after somebody else, and we’re pleased that we can give these chocolates to such deserving people.” (s)
