Child suffers head and leg injuries outside Clitheroe high school

A child has suffered head and leg injuries outside a school in Clitheroe after being involved in a collision with a motorbike.

The accident happened outside Ribblesdale High School this afternoon.

A police spokesman said: "We were called to Queens Road, Clitheroe, at around 2-10pm to reports of an RTC involving a motorbike and a child who suffered head and leg injuries as a result of the collision.

"The air ambulance attended and two patients were taken to hospital.

"The road was closed while emergency services attended the scene, it has now reopened."
