PC Cate Sutcliffe (34), collapsed on duty whilst attending a routine incident in Waddington. She suffered a cerebral bleed and after lapsing into a coma, died a few days later.

A larger than life character, Cate was well-known in the Ribble Valley and further afield. She lived life to the full and the extent to which she touched people’s lives was evident in the huge outpouring of grief and countless tributes at the time of her death.
