Canal death update
The Coroner's office has confirmed that a body discovered in the Leeds and Liverpool Canal on New Year's Day was that of a 60-year-old man.
The office of East Lancashire Coroner Mr Richard Taylor said that the man was discovered at 9-45am near to Red Lane in Colne.
A post-mortem examination was set to take place.
The police are not treating the death as suspicious.
