The money raised will go towards creating a new dementia room at Barden View, a sheltered housing complex in Blacker Street, Burnley.

The group, who collectively call themselves ‘The Scrambled Legs’, are individually known as Mandy Lord, Claire Thornber, Gary Rooke, Joanne Chadwick, Michael Tuberfield, Hayley Robinson and Sarah Harker.

All seven members of the team completed the run within 40 minutes, and were all very colourful thanks to the rainbow paint stations situated at each kilometre mark.

Sarah Harker, Supported Living Officer at Calico and Scrambled Legs member, said: “Everyone involved had a great time, even when they were running through and being hit with the paint powder.

“All the ‘Scrambled Legs’ had an amazing time and it really was a fantastic experience.

“The dementia room will help the residents at Barden View and really make a difference in their lives.”
