Business leaders' promotion delight
Three leading members of the Burnley Bondholders partnership have praised the achievements of Sean Dyche’s team and believe that the feelgood factor and heightened profile will give business a major shot in the arm.
Dave Jones, managing director of Veka plc said: “As a proud Burnley company, with a 30-year history in the town, we couldn’t be happier to celebrate the Clarets well-deserved promotion into the Premier League – we all ‘Dared To Dream’ and they did us proud!

“The money that will pour into Burnley as a result of Premier League fixtures is a fantastic boost to the economy, and the prestige that comes with a top flight team will have a knock-on effect for the town and its businesses.
“Everyone at VEKA is incredibly proud of Sean Dyche and the team at Burnley Football Club and we can’t wait to cheer them on next season!”
His views were echoed by John Kennedy, general manaer of ZF TRW.

“They have been built on hard work, teamwork and a resolute belief that we can be the best at whatever we do. The prize is the cause of our labours. Congratulations to the Clarets.”
Chris Plumb, managing director of Aircelle commented: “A large proportion of our workforce is local to Burnley and the lift this promotion will give them and their families cannot be underestimated. Aircelle is a global business and being based in a premiership town in the UK can only strengthen our brand.
“Well done and thank you Burnley Football Club!”
