Burnley teen petrol bomber is going to jail

A TEENAGER who petrol bombed his neighbour’s home has been told he is going to jail for a long time.

Thomas Craig (19), of Kay Gardens, admitted arson being reckless as to whether life was endangered. He set fire to the front door of Lee Johnson’s house, in Deerstone Avenue, last November.

Burnley Crown Court was told that there been repeated incidents when Craig’s behaviour had been “wholly inappropriate” towards the victim’s family.

He was remanded in custody until April 18th, for pre-sentence and psychiatric reports. Judge Beverly Lunt warned him: “It’s to decide how long you are going to prison for. It’s going to be a long time.

“Don’t be under any misapprehensions. It’s just a question of how long.”
