Burnley stages Gin Festival this weekend

The second weekend of Burnley’s Festival Week promises a wide and varied programme of events.

A host of town centre pubs and bars are taking place in a Cocktail Festival on Friday evening.

From real ale to special cocktails, Motown to rock music there is a bar to suit whatever you fancy.

On Saturday, Burnley Market Arts and Craft Event features a variety of hand-made items as well as the usual mix of food and goods offerings.

And on Saturday evening Burnley Mechanics plays host to a Gin Festival.

More than 80 different gins will be on offer. Throughout the evening there will be live entertainment and talks from gin industry experts and food.

Jurassic Adventures is being performed at Burnley Mechanics on Sunday.

The show transports families to a pre-historic place full of fun and music.

And on the same day Pure Nightclub in Hammerton Street hosts a charity danceathon in aid of the Lymphoma Association and GetIn2.

This weekend’s events come on the back of a highly-successful Burnley Beer Festival staged in The Mechanics last weekend.
