Faisal, whose family own restaurants in Bradford and Keighley, said he was delighted with the early success of his Burnley venture.

He said: “These rewards are fantastic, I am so proud. The English Curry Awards are very prestigious and we are delighted to be recognised in this way.

“We have only been open for four months in Burnley, but the restaurant is already attracting diners from across the region.

“I decided to open in Burnley because we had a lot of customers travelling from Lancashire to Yorkshire so we knew there was a demand.

“Our Burnley restaurant has been so popular I am now thinking of opening another in the area.”

It was a triple celebration for Faisal as his Bradford restaurant also picked up an award at the ceremony which was held at the Mercure Hotel, Manchester.
