Burnley paedophile (56) faces jail

Michael Heffernan pleaded guilty to two counts of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, between last January and March,

The defendant was bailed until August 15th, for pre-sentence and medical reports and was ordered to sign the Sex Offenders’ Register.

He must live in Eliza Street and is banned from associating with any child under the age of 16.

At Burnley Crown Court, Judge Andrew Woolman told him: “All sentencing options are open, including custody.”
