Burnley ‘murder’ victim died of head injuries


The man was discovered at the business premises of Pendle Skips in Balderstone Close where he is thought to be a casual employee.
Formal identification of the man is due to take place today and a post mortem examination has established he died as a result of extensive head injuries.

Hide AdPolice were called by the Ambulance Service after the man was discovered at the premises in Burnley around 8am on Monday. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
Det. Supt Paul Withers of the Force Major Investigation Team said: “We have a large team of detectives dedicated to this investigation and finding out exactly how this man came about these injuries and the circumstances which led to his death.
“I would urge anyone with information about this man’s death to please get in contact with us at your earliest opportunity.”
