Burnley firefighters race to scene of flat blaze after one person evacuated

Two fire engines, from Burnley and Padiham, were called to the blaze in Burnley Road at 8-15pm.

The occupant was evacuated from the premises before the arrival of firefighters who used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and a positive ventilation fan to extinguish the fire.

They were at the scene for two hours.
