Burnley dad in baby death case is on the run
A DAD due to be sentenced in connection with the death of a Burnley baby who was crushed by a television set is still being hunted by police after he failed to turn up at court.
Edward Hanratty (41) was due to appear at Preston Crown Court on Thursday after admitting neglecting four-month-old Kian McMillan, during his trial in December.
Judge Anthony Russell QC issued a warrant for his arrest but a spokesman for Lancashire Police yesterday said he had still not been traced.
Kian’s mum Natalie McMillan (25), previously of Scarlett Street, Burnley, attended the hearing and was jailed for 15 months for child neglect.
