“I was so nervous before the show went out but someone came up to me in the street and thanked me for showing Burnley in a good light for once.”

Fellow contestant Sally Jacks of Ightenhill, who is a well known TV and radio presenter, performed a UK first on the show by auctioning herself on ebay! She is preparing to go anywhere in the UK to cook the meal she made on to the highest bidder. So far the total stands at around £1,500.

All the money she raises will go towards treatment for Darwen youngster Sam Shaw who is suffering from a rare form of cancer.

Sally said: “The auction ends on Sunday but people can also make donations, however small, please help this little boy.”
