Burnley butcher cooks up special promotion sausage

A special sausage has been cooked up at a Burnley butchers to celebrate the Clarets promotion back to the Premier League.

Heys Family Butchers customer Peter Holden dreamed up a “Sean’s Smokey Sizzler” in honour of Burnley manager Sean Dyche.

Peter won a sausage pack for his winning creation – a barbecue based sausage containing hickory smoke and chipotle peppers.

The sausage now sits proudly along side the six other themed claret and blue sausages at Heys.

Danny Heys, who owns the business, said: “It’s a testament to how well the football club have been doing that we have brought out seven sausages in such a relatively short period of time. The club is the heartbeat of the community.”
