Burnley boy (13) among derby day fan arrests

The youth, from Burnley, was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage has been bailed pending further inquiries until April 4th.

The teen was one of elevan fans held by police around Sunday’s East Lancashire derby game with bitter rivals Rovers at Ewood Park.

Fayaz Khan (34) of Godiva Street, Burnley has been charged with being drunk while trying to enter a sports ground. He has been bailed to appear at Blackburn Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, March 26th.

A 23-year-old Burnley man arrested on suspicion of criminal damage has been bailed pending further inquiries until May 1st.

A 16-year-old boy, from Burnley, who was arrested on suspicion of theft of a seat at the ground has been released no further action.

Mark Furness (51) of Trinity Street, Oswaldtwistle, has been charged with being drunk and disorderly in a public place. He has been bailed to appear at Blackburn Magistrates’ Court on Friday, March 28th.

Joshua Bramwell (23) Pinners Close, Ramsbottom, has been charged with using threatening words or behaviour and has been bailed to appear at Blackburn Magistrates’ Court on March 26th.

Benjamin Hargreaves (27) and Daniel O’Sullivan, both of Pickup Street, Clayton-le-Moors, and Mark Haighton, of Victor Street in the town, have been charged with using threatening words or behaviour.

The three were all bailed to appear at Blackburn Magistrates’ Court on March 28th.

A 23-year-old man, from Blackburn, who was arrested on suspicion of breaching a football banning order has been bailed pending further inquiries until April 3rd.

Michael Slater (30) of Fowler Height Close, Blackburn has been charged with being drunk and disorderly in a public place and will appear before Blackburn Magistrates’ Court on March 28th.
