Burnley author's new chapter is fantasy
A new Burnley author is '˜write on track' after publishing a series of novels.
Helen Sutton is the author of the three fantasy novels in Faery Chronicles series – Fated, Stormbringers, and Tainted – which follow the adventures of 17-year-old Bree Cadman.
Helen’s novels are currently available on Amazon, and are riding high in their bestseller lists – all three of the Faery Chronicles books appear in the top 100 fantasy chart.
Helen said: “I published Fated, Tainted and Kingmakers on Kindle at 11-40pm on Saturday, March 12th, as a nod of respect to Terry Pratchett, who died that day last year.
“I love my characters and believe in my stories – it’s absolutely tear-making that other people seem to, too.”
Helen also credits the support she received from staff at Calico with giving her the confidence she needed to start writing.
She got involved with Calico when she moved back to Burnley after 18 years away.
Helen was invited to a feedback meeting aimed at welcoming new tenants – it was during this meeting where it was suggested that she might benefit from joining the Calico Academy, a course aimed at helping residents build their confidence and discover their potential.
Helen also spent over a year volunteering with Calico Enterprise gaining experience in office work.
