After the Overland brothers, Steve and Chris joined forces with drummer Pete Jupp and bassist Merv Goldsworthy, musicians who spent time in the bands Samson and Diamond Head. Together, they formed FM, who within months of their formation secured a major recording deal with CBS/Portrait Records and found themselves touring with the likes of Meat Loaf, Tina Turner, Foreigner and Gary Moore, helping establish the band as one of the most exciting forces in British rock.

The release of their debut album - ‘Indiscreet’ - in 1986 - started a wave of momentum for the band, who went on to support Bon Jovi on their ‘Slippery When Wet tour’ before going on to release albums such as ‘Tough It Out’, ‘Takin' It To The Streets’, ‘Aphrodisiac’ and ‘Dead Man's Shoes’, becoming one of the leading faces on the melodic rock circuit and touring with giants such as Status Quo and Whitesnake.

However, the band took a twelve-year break, starting in 1995 to pursue other projects. But, after what was intended to be a one-off performance at Nottingham’s Fire Fest, they made a triumphant return. In the years since, they’ve released a further ten albums and continued to share stages with the likes of Foreigner, Journey, Thin Lizzy and Heart while making acclaimed appearances at festivals such as Download, Sweden Rock, Graspop, Planet Rockstock and countless others across Europe and beyond.

For two exclusive nights at Barnoldswick’s Music & Arts Centre, FM will perform a special set featuring the very best songs from across their extraordinary career alongside key tracks from the ‘Indiscreet’ album that started it all, allowing fans to witness two career-spanning sets from their extraordinary career.
