Boys' Brigade helps new chemo unit towards £100,000 target

Members of East Lancashire Boys' Brigade hit the high note for the Rosemere Burnley Chemotherapy Unit Appeal with the presentation of a £400 donation raised over Christmas.

The band played at a number of centres for the elderly, as well as a carol service at Greenbrook Methodist Church, Burnley.

The Brigade, made up of members from Burnley, Accrington, Rishton and Oswaldtwistle, chose to support the Rosemere appeal after two of its supporters suffered breast cancer last year and received treatment at Burnley General Hospital’s chemotherapy suite and at Rosemere Cancer Centre in Preston.

he brigade’s donation brings the appeal, which has a £100,000 target, to £85,700.
