Boy (12) goes missing: police appeal

Police are appealing for information about a 12-year-old boy who has gone missing from home.

Kit Hayton has not been seen since he left home in Helmshore Road, Haslingden, around 4pm yesterday.

He was wearing his pyjamas and a grey fleece and possibly had black boots on. He has very distinctive black curly hair.

Insp. Phil Turner, from Burnley police, said: “I would appeal to the public in the Haslingden area to look out for Kit. He has not been seen since 4pm and understandably his parents are worried he is ok.

“We have a team of police officers and staff out looking for him but we would ask the public to remain vigilant and report any sightings to us immediately on 101.”
