Blaze halts rail services

Train services from Blackpool have been disrupted by a major lineside blaze.

The incident, involving 10 fire engines, has halted services through Huncoat in East Lancashire.

The fire, involving wooden pallets is burning next to the main Blackpool to York rail route.

Trains between Blackpool North and York are terminating at Blackburn.

Passengers able to reach Burnley Manchester Road are able to pick up services continuing to Bradford, Leeds and York.

Services between Blackpool South and Colne are also being affected.
