'Because you're loved': Christian charity's weekend event
A local Christian charity, Pais GB, is planning a weekend of practical service and fun activities for the citizens of Burnley over the first May bank holiday weekend.
Continuing their annual Spring tradition, they will organise both a Fun Day as well as service projects in order to show the community that they are loved.
Twice annually, Pais GB partners with Life Church Lancashire in order to provide a Fun Day for the citizens of Burnley and the surrounding area, consisting of free activities for the whole family - including inflatables, games, sports, and face-painting - as well as food and more.
This will take place on Saturday, 29th April at Life Church Lancashire on Sycamore Avenue in Burnley from 11am-2pm.
Partnering with Pais GB this year will be Chip K, performing live on Saturday night at the state-of-the-art Life Church Lancashire building. The Chip Kendall band has played Big Church Day Out in the UK, Lumen Festival in Slovakia, Sea Side Festival in Norway, among other gigs.
Chip regularly goes into schools where the young people love his high-energy performance. with this free gig open for all 11-17-year-olds in the area on Saturday 29th April at 7pm.
In addition to the Fun Day, Pais GB will be executing various service projects on Monday, 1st May including a pamper day with afternoon tea at a local women’s refuge, a mini-fun day in cooperation with an organisation serving local refugee families, and free give-aways and entertainment in Burnley town centre.
"Significant costs and volunteer man-power go into making the Because You’re Loved Tour happen each year, but it’s all worth it," said a Pais GB statement. "Pais GB is determined to make this year the best yet and want to invite you, your family and your friends to join them and all for free... Because You’re Loved!"
Pais GB is a not-for-profit Christian organisation based in Burnley that trains and equips young adults from around the world to be youth and schools workers in England, placing these positive role models in schools, churches and communities throughout the nation.
