Barnoldswick baby’s death was ‘tragic accident’: couple released without charge

DETECTIVES investigating the death of a two year old boy in Barnoldswick say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

Harrison Upton died on Sunday and since then police have been conducting a very challenging investigation.

A post mortem examination has revealed Harrison died of asphyxiation and detectives have concluded his death was a tragic accident.

A man and woman aged 24 from Barnoldswick were arrested and had been helping police with their inquiries.

They have now been released without charge having been completely exonerated from having any involvement with Harrison’s death.

Detectives wish to pass on their sympathies and condolences to Harrison’s parents as well as his wider family.
